ClosedCode: 28335 | Identifier Code: HORIZON-HLTH-2024-DISEASE-03-14-two-stage | Programme name: 2939 | Sub-program: Health (Cluster 1) (2021-2027) | Start submission calls: 26/04/2023 | End submission calls: 19/09/2023
A number of medical conditions fail to be recognized and/or correctly diagnosed in a significant proportion of patients. Consequently, they are undertreated and can often become a chronic burden to the patient. These medical conditions may be under-researched despite their high prevalence. This topic excludes rare diseases.

Comparative effectiveness research for healthcare interventions in areas of high public health need
ClosedCode: 28333 | Identifier Code: HORIZON-HLTH-2024-DISEASE-03-08-two-stage | Programme name: 2939 | Sub-program: Health (Cluster 1) (2021-2027) | Start submission calls: 26/04/2023 | End submission calls: 19/09/2023
The paediatric population, including children born preterm, has also its specific needs in specially adjusted therapeutics and early interventions to address emerging health and developmental problems. Similar to the elderly population, the paediatric population is often excluded from many clinical trials that generate the evidence base for healthcare interventions. Women, including pregnant women, are also often under-represented in clinical studies and access to quality healthcare is frequently inadequate. Other population groups with limited access to quality healthcare and/or under-representation in clinical studies include low-income groups, and refugees. Intersectionality within these groups also needs consideration.

Personalised prevention of non-communicable diseases – addressing areas of unmet needs using multiple data sources
ClosedCode: 28306 | Identifier Code: HORIZON-HLTH-2024-STAYHLTH-01-05-two-stage | Programme name: 2939 | Sub-program: Health (Cluster 1) (2021-2027) | Start submission calls: 30/03/2023 | End submission calls: 19/09/2023
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are responsible for the majority of the disease burden in Europe and are the leading cause of avoidable premature death. The human and financial cost of NCDs is high and expected to grow. Reducing the burden of NCDs requires a holistic approach and tackling health inequalities across the board. Preventing NCDs from developing in the first place will be at the core of successful public health programmes in the future.Personalised prevention is the assessment of health risks for individuals based on their specific background traits to recommend tailored prevention. -
Call for proposals for action grants to provide financial contributions to organisations representing consumer interests in Members States or offering assistance to consumers in Member States in the form of Alternative Dispute Resolution
ClosedCode: 28303 | Identifier Code: SMP-CONS-2023-ADR | Programme name: 3856 | Start submission calls: 29/03/2023 | End submission calls: 18/07/2023
The aim of this Call for proposals is to facilitate the consumers’ access to effective and efficient alternative dispute resolution entities compliant with Directive 2013/11/EU; including awareness-raising, protection to vulnerable consumers, networking of national alternative dispute resolution entities at national and EU-wide levels, cooperation with national enforcement bodies, the use of transparent digital tools, and good governance. A strong EU ADR framework would entice consumers to opt for ADR notably to resolve low-value disputes which would in return help in detecting rogue traders on the single market and create a more level-playing field for traders that comply with the EU consumer protection legislation.

To that end, proposals under this topic should aim for delivering results that are directed at, tailored towards and contributing to all of the following expected outcomes:
- Children, adolescents and their parents/carers are educated and empowered in prevention strategies involving personalised approaches and solutions (also through the use of digital tools) to manage, maintain and improve children’s and adolescents’ own health, physical activity, nutrition habits, leisure needs, mental and social well-being, in full respect of the privacy of individuals.
- Children and adolescents, including those from vulnerable contexts, monitor their health risks, adopt healthy lifestyles at home, at school and in the community and interact with their doctors and carers (receiving and providing feedback), also through the means of digitally enabled solutions, better health literacy, training and critical thinking.
- Thanks to better co-creation, training, digital and health literacy, children, adolescents, parents and carers across Europe access and use person-centred, widely available solutions for children and adolescents’ health, care and wellbeing, appropriate to a rapidly changing and increasingly digitalised society, also considering the risk of digital addiction.

Innovative technologies for safety and excellence in decommissioning, including robotics and artificial intelligence
ClosedCode: 28259 | Identifier Code: HORIZON-EURATOM-2023-NRT-01-07 | Programme name: 23715 | Start submission calls: 04/04/2023 | End submission calls: 08/11/2023
Decommissioning is currently recognised as a fixed part of the nuclear facilities’ life cycle. This cannot be neglected when implementing a sustainable energy future. This also reflects the public interest and the contemporary principle of environmental sustainability related to any industrial activity. Though various dismantling techniques are at the level of industrial maturity, there are still specific challenges to achieving high safety standards, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of dismantling operations.
