Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan – Axis 2. Accelerated transition to a green economy

Programme Description

The second Policy Axis seeks to make a significant contribution to green transition and environmental sustainability, through the achievement of national targets for climate neutrality, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. It promotes reforms in the fields of climate and energy, sustainable transport, water resources management and the wider environment.

This axis is also the most important in terms of the overall contribution of the Plan to the climate targets, which reaches 41% of the total budget of the Plan, with actions over €500 million that are diffused in almost all policy areas.

Grant Scheme for the encouragement of energy upgrading by Local Authorities and wider public sector organisations 2022-2023

Summary

The Grant Scheme aims:

  1. to provide financial incentives to encourage the implementation of energy upgrading investments by local authorities and semi-governmental organisations.
  2. to upgrade the existing building infrastructure of public entities
  3. contribute to the achievement of national RES and energy savings obligations.

Detailed Call Description

The Scheme provides for the submission of proposals for the implementation of investments in one or more buildings and/or other infrastructure. For each building and for any other infrastructure a proposal can me submitted for the implementation of a combination of the following  investments:

The Scheme provides for a grant of 100% of the eligible costs (excluding VAT) with a maximum amount of: €700 000 and a minimum proposal cost of: €10 000
