The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) announces the 2023 Sponsorship Program (SPONSORSHIPS/0323).
The RIF Grants Program promotes the Foundation’s strategic goal of cultivating a culture of Research and Innovation (R&I), including skills development, in the ecosystem and the general public through actions that work in support of R&I. The Program specifically concerns:
- In the organization of high-quality and impactful events with the main objective of promoting and promoting research, technological development and innovation issues to the general public,
- In organizing events related to promoting the acquisition of digital and STEM skills, as well as their use in innovation and entrepreneurship and
- Representing Cyprus in International Science, Research and Innovation Competitions.
The budget of the Program is €340,000, with maximum funding:
- €40,000 for Large-Scale Events,
- €10,000 for Medium Scale Events,
- €500 per team member for the Representation of Cyprus in an International Competition.
An application for sponsorship in this specific Program can be submitted by:
- entities that are legally established and operate in areas controlled by the Republic of Cyprus or
- responsible for the student teams that will represent Cyprus in an International Competition.
Proposals are submitted by submitting the relevant form to the email address sponsorship@research.org.cy. The Program is divided into two periods as follows:
1st Period: Implementation period 15/04/2023 – 15/11/2023 with closing date 31/03/2023.
2nd Period: Implementation period 16/11/2023 – 15/06/2024 with closing date 31/10/2023.
For the Representation of Cyprus in International Competitions the deadline is 31/05/2024, or until the budget is exhausted.
Part of the Program’s grants will be financed by the Resilience Recovery Mechanism of the European instrument Next Generation EU (NextGenerationEU). The Program will also be financed from resources of the Republic of Cyprus.
