The European Researchers’ Night event, which is the great celebration of research, innovation and science and has been organized since 2006 in Cyprus by the Research and Innovation Foundation (IDEK), returns again this year under the title Mission: CONNECT. During the event, scientists, academics, researchers/researchers and businesses will leave their workplaces for a while to present their actions and achievements to the public.

The event aims to promote the research and innovation culture as well as highlight the research activity that is developing in the country. Through the event of all ages, they have the opportunity to interact with the research teams, participate in experiments and interactive games, live discussions, awards and much more.

In this context, IDEK announces an open invitation for the submission of Expressions of Interest from the bodies of the Research and Innovation (R&I) ecosystem to participate in the event with original activities, which will be hosted in the Exhibition Space that will be prepared.

The Activities to be hosted at this year’s Event should fit into one or more of the aforementioned five (5) «Missions» R&I of the EU. The Activities should be interactive in nature, using a variety of media (experiments, video, audio, games , simulations, quizzes, mobile applications, use of scientific equipment, painting, crafts, etc.) and giving the audience the opportunity to be actively involved. In addition, targeted activities for young children, male and female students are encouraged.

Interested parties should submit their Expression of Interest electronically FORM by Wednesday, 08 February 2023.
