The LIFE Programme is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action. The general objective of LIFE is to contribute to the implementation, updating and development of EU environmental and climate policy and legislation by co-financing projects with European added value. After 22 years, €3.4 billion and 4.170 projects, the LIFE Programme continues to finance actions for the environment and climate action.
The aim is to facilitate the transition toward a sustainable, circular, toxic-free, energyefficient/climate-resilient economy and toward a toxic-free environment as well as to protect, restore and improve the quality of the environment.
The specific objective is to cover one or more of the following topics (the description is further detailed in the sections afterwards):

CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND WASTE:

NOISE: Substantial reduction of noise inside densely populated urban areas through solutions with high environmental and economic sustainability
CHEMICALS:
A NEW EUROPEAN BAUHAUS: It is suitable to develop synergies for supporting this initiative under LIFE Circular economy and quality of life and LIFE Nature and Biodiversity, including for showcasing the potential of the Bauhaus initiative in third countries associated to the LIFE Programme.

Please note that the assessment of the extent to which the project is in line with the specific priorities of the call (part of Award criterion 1) will be done exclusively on the basis of the topics identified and described under section ‘Compliance with LIFE programme objectives and call topic’ of the Standard application form. Please also note that a maximum of two sub-topics will be considered (e.g.: air quality improvement and emission reduction of PM…. solutions and sustainable road transport mobility….platforms.).

In order to be eligible, the applicants (beneficiaries and affiliated entities) must:
Financial support to third parties will be accepted in projects which aim to assist entities outside the project partnership (e.g. non-profit organisations, local authorities or citizens groups) in the implementation or development of local initiatives that will contribute to the project’s objectives.
