7th Call for Proposals – Coordinated Call for Sustainable Tourism Projects under the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism (MMM)

Summary

The 7th Call for Proposals of the Interreg Euro-Med Programme supports projects aimed at the capitalisation, transfer and replication of results that have already been developed, rather than the creation of entirely new outputs.

The call is launched under the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism (MMM), a strategic framework designed to strengthen cooperation among Interreg Programmes in the field of sustainable tourism. The initiative currently brings together ten Interreg Programmes, eight of which are participating in this coordinated call.

Detailed Call Description

The 7th Call for Proposals of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme is launched under the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism (MMM) and aims to strengthen cooperation among Mediterranean regions for the promotion of sustainable tourism. The call supports capitalisation projects that build on and transfer existing results, solutions and good practices already developed through projects funded by other MMM Programmes, contributing to sustainable development, social cohesion and climate resilience across the Mediterranean region.

Project proposals should focus on the transfer, adaptation and uptake of existing solutions and be aligned with the Programme priorities “A Smarter Mediterranean” and “A Greener Mediterranean.” In particular, the call promotes actions that improve tourism governance, support the green transition and environmental protection, enhance employment and skills in the tourism sector, foster accessibility and social inclusion, and develop innovative and smart tourism products and services.

The supported actions are expected to strengthen cooperation among public authorities, businesses, research organisations and civil society stakeholders, facilitating the adoption of sustainable tourism development models and ensuring the long-term exploitation and transferability of project results throughout the Mediterranean area.
