The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) announces the New Calls for Proposals “STRATEGIC INFRASTRUCTURES/1222” and “SMALL SCALE INFRASTRUCTURES/1222”.
The budget of the call STRATEGIC INFRASTRUCTURES/1222 is €12,500,000, with a minimum funding of €1,500,000 and a maximum funding of €2,500,000 per project.
The budget of the call SMALL SCALE INFRASTRUCTURES/1222 is €5,000,000, with a minimum funding of €500,000 and a maximum funding of €700,000 per project.
The submission of proposals is done through the IRIS portal of the RIF.
The closing dates for the Invitations are set as follows:

The Call “Research Infrastructures of Strategic Importance” concerns the financing of projects aimed at the creation of new research infrastructures of large scope which will be used for the implementation of a research project by the Cooperation Network (CNN). The new research infrastructures will implement cutting-edge high-level research and the proposed Projects will focus on objects falling under selected thematic priorities, which are listed below.
- Health
- Environment (incl. Renewable Energy Sources and advanced materials).
- Shipping – Sea Transport
- Agriculture – Food
- Information and Communication Technologies (incl. space technologies)
The “Small-Scale Research Infrastructures” Call concerns the financing of projects aimed at creating new or upgrading small-scale research infrastructures that will be utilized for the implementation of a high-level cutting-edge research project.
The Program will be co-financed by the Republic of Cyprus and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), within the framework of the Political Cohesion Program “THALEIA 2021-2027”.
Research Organizations (A.1, A.2), Businesses (B.1, B.2, B.3) and Other Bodies (C.1, C.2) have the right to participate in this program.
