Summary
The Plan aims to upgrade the coastal shipping sector. Financial assistance consists of the provision of State aid on specified eligible costs.
Programme Description
The specific objectives of the Plan are:
- Promoting environmental protection
- The upgrade / improvement of the means of navigation
- Enhancing the safety and health conditions of passengers and crew
- The service of the accessibility of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the boats under upgrade.
Funding of the Project
The Project is funded by the Republic of Cyprus. It was decided to allocate a total of three million euros, in various announcements that will be made. This Budget may be amended. The number of Invitations will depend on the interest shown in the first and second Call for Proposals, and the available budget.
Plan Implementation Period
The Plan is implemented during the period 2019-2021 and potential Beneficiaries will be able to submit applications / proposals during the specific time period to be announced by the Ministry of Shipping (YFYN). This will be specified in each Call for Proposals.
