The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) invites you to the Workshop organized in relation to the Horizontal Priority “Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area” (WIDENING & ERA) of Horizon Europe.
The Workshop will take place on Thursday, 19 February 2026, 09.00 – 13.00, in the Ground Floor Event Hall of FRI (Mihalakopoulou 29a, 1075 Nicosia).
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:
To inform interested persons and institutions regarding the funding opportunities provided through the Horizontal Priority “Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area” (“WIDENING & ERA”) of “Horizon Europe” and in particular the Calls for Proposals for the 2026-2027 Period.
The highlighting of important aspects for the successful preparation of proposals submitted under the Calls of the Priority “WIDENING & ERA”
The informing of participants on the support services provided through the National Contact Points for the Priority “WIDENING & ERA” and the NCP_WIDERA.NET Project.
The presentation of preliminary information regarding the 10th EU Framework Programme (FP) for Research and Innovation (2028-2034) and the recording of the support needs of Cypriot entities, as entities from “transition” countries, to enhance their participation in the 10th FP.
WHO IS IT ADDRESSED TO:
The event is addressed to Research Management & Support Services of academic and research organizations, as well as to individual researchers from academic and research institutions, research-active enterprises, public organizations and NGOs. Participants are expected to have at least basic knowledge and understanding of the “Horizon Europe” Program.
