The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) wishes to inform interested parties of the possibility of their participation in the Event “Security Research Event (SRE)”, which is organized by the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME) of the European Commission, in cooperation with the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union and Sweden. The event will take place on October 24-25, 2023 with a physical presence in Brussels. Security Research Event (SRE)EN•••, will take place during the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU and is prepared and organised with support of Sweden and Spain. The event will take place in Brussels on 24 and 25 October 2023 at Square Brussels Convention Centre. The 2023 edition of the Security Research Event will feature:

• Two days of Conferences with thematic sessions;
• Exhibition presenting projects, their achievements, and small-scale demonstrations;
• The Security Innovation Award Ceremony.

Details for submitting an expression of interest are included in the following announcement. Cluster 3 is part of Pillar II of the “Horizon Europe” Program and focuses on security issues, around six (6) Thematic Units (Destinations):

• Better protect the EU and its citizens against Crime and Terrorism,
• Effective management of EU external borders,
• Resilient Infrastructure,
• Increased Cybersecurity,
• Disaster-Resilient Society for Europe,
• Strengthened Security Research and Innovation.
