PEDvolution Open Call for Demonstrators: Positive Energy Districts (PEDs)

Summary

The PEDvolution project invites applications from Positive Energy Districts (PEDs) to participate in an open call aimed at demonstrating and validating innovative energy solutions.

Detailed Call Description

The call seeks to:

  • Accelerate the integration and interoperability of advanced energy systems.
  • Improve energy efficiency and sustainability within PEDs.
  • Foster community engagement in the energy transition.
  • Provide financial and technical support to selected PEDs.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and standardisation across Europe.

The project is already validating these solutions in three real-life PED demonstrators across Germany, Slovenia, and Switzerland.

Successful applicants will test, validate, and provide feedback on a number of the following PEDvolution solutions, helping to refine them for broader application across different urban environments.

Eligible costs under this call include:

  • Personnel Costs: Costs of the personnel realizing the work, calculated based on actual hours worked and in accordance with the usual remuneration practices of the applicant’s organization. For the application template (Annex II Open call Application template), only the final amount allocated to personnel costs is necessary.
  • Travel Expenses: Tavel costs necessary for the execution of the tasks.
  • Eligible Equipment: Only depreciation costs for purchased equipment are eligible, provided these costs comply with Horizon Europe rules.
  • Other Goods and Services Costs: Other goods and services include for instance consumables and supplies, dissemination, software licenses, data processing services, or external expertise necessary to support the implementation of the proposed activities. This may include technical assessments, market studies, or specialized data analysis, provided they remain ancillary to the main activities of the applicant and do not constitute subcontracting.

The expected duration of participation is 60 calendar days.
