Horizon Europe is the European Union (EU) funding programme for the period 2021 – 2027, which targets the sectors of research and innovation. The programme’s budget is around € 95.5 billion, of which € 5.4 billion is from NextGenerationEU to stimulate recovery and strengthen the EU’s resilience in the future, and € 4.5 billion is additional aid.
EIT Urban Mobility invites universities, academic consortia, and education-focused innovators to submit proposals to its Master School and Fellowship Open Call, designed to accelerate the development and delivery of high-quality learning experiences that build the skills and capabilities needed for sustainable urban mobility.
This Open Call focuses on a series of specific activity areas aimed at meeting the EIT Urban Mobility Master School and Fellowship targets, including Summer Schools, new urban mobility related Master programmes that have the potential to be integrated into the EIT Urban Mobility Master School and obtain the EIT Label, new universities joining existing EIT Urban Mobility Master programmes, and existing Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) programmes at Master level aligned with the EIT Label Handbook for EIT Fellowships criteria with the potential to join the EIT Urban Mobility I&E Fellowship. This Call is also open to proposals for other types of activities with a high potential to achieve the KPI and financial sustainability targets.

All proposals submitted to this Call must have a minimum co-funding rate of 25% for the whole project duration. Co-funding above this rate will be positively assessed during the portfolio selection. The minimum co-funding rate refers to the total project budget.
This Call is open to organisations from the Member States of the European Union, and Third countries associated with Horizon Europe. Both multi-participant proposals and mono-participant proposals are accepted.
In the case of mono-participant proposals, it is considered that the pan-European dimension is achieved through the network and truly international experience required from all our Master School and Fellowship programmes with compulsory mobility requirements embedded in the curriculum.
In case of multi-participant proposals, as a minimum requirement proposals must be put forward by at least 2 independent legal entities established in 2 different EU Member States and/or Third countries associated with Horizon Europe.
EIT Urban Mobility is Europe’s largest community for urban mobility innovation. If an application is selected for funding, then all applicants will be required to pay the corresponding membership fee so to become a member of EIT community.

Entities who are not yet EIT Urban Mobility members and who have been awarded proposals with a total EIT funding lower than €30.000 may request a membership fee reduction for their first year as a member.
