GreenMantis is an EU-funded Eurocluster project that aims to help european SMEs to develop and adopt new Net-Zero-Technologies relative to energy efficiency to boost their green transition and improve their resilience. To achieve its objectives, GreenMantis offers an innovation support package including services and financial mechanisms dedicated to support innovative projects. The support takes the form of three key actions:

GreenMantis is looking to fund innovative lab-to-market projects which means that they are mainly aiming at supporting projects from a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6 to 8 for a duration of 9 months. The project should aim at developing a solution to provide better energy efficiency solutions for manufacturing processes of European SMEs.

These activities will have to integrate at least one of the Net-zero technologies listed above (Electricity Grid Technologies, Energy System-Related Energy efficiency technologies, Transformative industrial technologies leading to decarbonisation) and its application within manufacturing activities or relevant NACE code.
To provide the best support possible and allow SMEs to upskill their capabilities, partners will provide free innovation support to SMEs, focusing on sustainability and twin transition training.
Beneficiaries of the Support scheme must participate to one of the 2 international missions that will be organised by GreenMantis. The 1st mission will take place in 2027 with Canada as destination, and the second will take place in 2028 to Japan. The participation of at least one representative of the consortium is mandatory, and the cost associated with participation is not considered eligible.
Beneficiaries of the support schemes must at the end of their project to participate to the GreenMantis day in Barcelona. This event will be organised to allow SMEs to present their result to the GreenMantis consortium and to the other beneficiaries. It will also be an opportunity for networking and matchmaking between all the beneficiaries of the first Open Call. The participation of at least one representative of the consortium is mandatory, and the cost associated with the participation is not considered eligible.
At least 20 SMEs will be selected within 10 projects with a € 100 000 limit per project with an individual limitation of €60.000 FSTP per SME.
Selected projects will receive up to €100.000 in equity-free funding, complemented by a mandatory co-financing of at least 20% from SMEs provided private financial sources (in form of debt or own financial resources), thus crowding in private capital into the projects.
This co-financing must be explained during the application phase, justified in the final report and cannot consist of in-kind contributions. In addition, on these 20% of mandatory co funding, you can only provide a maximum of 50% of personnel costs.

SMEs can only receive through GreenMantis up to €60.000.
Projects funded under this call shall last 9 months.
This open call will be open to all SMEs from across the EU or associated to the SMP COSME programme with a NACE code corresponding to Manufacturing activities (NACE code C) or Energy activities (Nace code D), SMEs with NACE code J or M and proven activities related to manufacturing could be considered eligible. NACE is a four-digit classification providing the framework for collecting and presenting statistical data according to economic activity (for the French term “nomenclature statistique des activités économiques dans la Communauté européenne”).
SMEs will establish a consortium of at least 2 SMEs originating from two different EC countries or associated to SMP COSME programme, and from 2 different sectors (NACE code C, D or J and M with proven activities in manufacturing or energy).
