The objective of this call is to provide grants to support the delivery and development of educational content aimed at health care professionals (HCPs) for the implementation of personalised medicine (PM).
Gaps in HCPs’ knowledge and skills in PM have been identified as one of the key barriers to PM implementation. This initiative will strengthen HCPs’ ability to integrate PM into their daily practice by ensuring that they have the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies.
The scope of this call includes general and specialized training on PM and its application in clinical practice, interdisciplinary collaboration among HCPs, and effective communication between HCPs and patients. The courses will be designed and implemented in collaboration between selected consortia and EP PerMed.
The purpose of the Call is to fund high quality content that will feed into online modules/ courses, that will be collaboratively developed with the Digital Learning Team supporting EP PerMed. All modules/ courses will be hosted and disseminated through the EP PerMed website and the eLearning platform designated by EP PerMed.
Modules/courses will cater to training needs for HCPs in PM implementation (General Practitioners, Specialists, Nurses); may include case studies demonstrating successful implementation of PM strategies in primary healthcare and selected disease areas; activities to foster interdisciplinary collaboration between HCPs for PM solutions; activities to improve communications skills of HCPs to patients. It is expected that up to 6 proposals will be funded, with a maximum of €50.000 per grant. The grant available per module is €50.000, including overheads (25%). The reimbursement rate is 100%.
