The session is open to governmental authorities, governmental local and regional authorities, state organisations or companies, public organisations, civil society organisations, non-governmental and non-profit organisations, associations, academic and research institutions, whose work is relevant to the call\u2019s topics, and which are based in Cyprus and Greece.\r\n\r\nThe first part of the session includes an introductory presentation of the EU Programme\u00a0\u201cCitizens, Equality, Rights and Values\u201d (<\/strong>CERV<\/strong><\/a>)<\/strong>, followed by a presentation of the call\u00a0\u201cCitizens\u2019 engagement and participation (CERV-2025-CITIZENS-CIV<\/em><\/strong>)\u201d which focuses on\u00a0promoting citizens\u2019 and representative associations\u2019 participation in and contribution to the democratic and civic life of the Union by making known and publicly exchanging their views in all areas of Union action<\/strong><\/em>. The event will also feature a\u00a0brief presentation on the\u00a0<\/strong>Anna Lindh Foundation<\/strong><\/a>, highlighting the\u00a0opportunities it provides for fostering intercultural dialogue and collaboration across the Euro-Mediterranean region<\/em>.\r\n\r\nIn the second part of the session,\u00a0Mrs Maria-Christina Constantinou, Project Manager\/Researcher at\u00a0AKTI Project and Research Centre<\/a><\/strong><\/em>\u00a0will present the CERV-funded project\u00a0\u201cRESIsles \u2013 Resilient Euro-Mediterranean Islands: Democratic Participation for Informed and Responsible Decisions on Climate and the Environment (CERV-2023-CITIZENS-CIV)\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, a project which is related to the call\u2019s priorities. AKTI was founded in 2000 by a group of environmental experts. For the past 25 years, AKTI works closely on subjects related to the environment, sustainability, and marine plastic pollution. More specifically, AKTI focuses on applied environmental research, environmental education and vocational training and collaborates with schools, Universities and local authorities.
