It is a multilateral and strategic partnership of national and regional research, development and innovation (RDI) funding programmes in EU Member States and Associated Countries, co-funded by the European Commission through Horizon Europe (HE). <strong>The CETPartnership&#8217;s goals are:<\/strong><\/span>\r\n<ul type=\"disc\">\r\n \t<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Building a transnational transformative joint programming platform<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Developing and demonstrating technologies and solutions for the energy system transition<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Building innovation ecosystems that support capacity building at all levels.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\">The CETPartnership Joint Call 2023 is supported by\u00a041 national and regional Funding Agencies\u00a0from\u00a027 EU Member States and Associated Countries\u00a0to Horizon Europe: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, T\u00fcrkiye, UK (Scotland)\u00a0and\u00a04 international partners\u00a0from: Canada (Alberta), India, Switzerland and the United States of America.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">The CETPartnership includes\u00a0<b>7 Transition Initiatives (TRIs<\/b>) addressing a broad range of RDI challenges from discrete technologies to integrated systems for the clean energy transition, as well as several cross-cutting dimensions, <strong>as follows:<\/strong><\/span>\r\n<ul type=\"disc\">\r\n \t<li class=\"x_elementToProof\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">(System integration),\u00a0<\/span><a id=\"OWA4c9b4d77-592f-12a3-7663-5a853366796c\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/tri\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"0\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">TRI 1: Integrated Net-zero-emissions Energy System<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">:<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">D<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">eve<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">lop optimised, integrated net-zero emissions energy systems, with electricity distribution and transmission grids as the \u201cbackbone\u201d and with a high level of integration among all energy carrier networks, supported by energy storage and power conversion processes.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li class=\"x_elementToProof\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">(Enable technologies),<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><a id=\"OWA24f9a3f8-de0c-0e80-1b8f-94b5d81b5aca\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/tri\/2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"1\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">TRI 2: Enhanced zero emission Power Technologies<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">:<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">D<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">evelop a pool of zero-emission power technologies and solutions based on renewable energy sources as the backbone of the future energy system, being able to deliver carbon-neutral electricity accessible to all and to contribute to the resilience of the system.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li class=\"x_elementToProof\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">(Enable technologies),<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><a id=\"OWA358fcaa5-0cbf-7966-e2cd-2513ad20953b\" heating and cooling technologies and systems for all major parts of Europe by 2030 and to enable 100% climate-neutral heating and cooling by 2050.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li class=\"x_elementToProof\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">(System integration),\u00a0<\/span><a id=\"OWAe6973f05-5b1b-57f9-3734-ebabd1f0f1b8\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/tri\/6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"5\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">TRI 6: Integrated Industrial Energy Systems<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">:<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">D<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">e<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">velop and validate integrated regional and local energy systems that efficiently enable a secure, resilient and CO2-free regional energy supply for a specific regional context (up to and beyond 100% in the dynamic regional or local supply by 2030) and provide tailor-made solutions for individual regional and bring them together at European level.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li class=\"x_elementToProof\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">(System integration),\u00a0<\/span><a id=\"OWAf889d715-8ca7-0e92-d040-f038ba988de2\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/tri\/7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"6\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">TRI 7: Integration in the Built Environment<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">: P<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">rovide solutions and technologies for existing and new buildings to become an active element in the energy system, with enhanced capability to produce, store and efficiently use energy.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">The CETPartnership supports a paradigm shift with an integrated approach to innovation considering not only technological aspects (<b>Technology<\/b>), but also business aspects (<b>Market<\/b>) and social and political aspects (<b>Stakeholders<\/b>). The CETPartnership Knowledge Community is an integral part of the CETPartnership and aims to leverage exchange and co-create knowledge between RDI stakeholders, all CETPartnership funded projects and other national, transnational and international CETPartnership activities.<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">It will implement innovative monitoring and transfer activities and generate synergies for knowledge co-creation in working groups, in the thematic challenges addressed by TRIs and in the cross-cutting dimensions according to the\u00a0<a id=\"OWA9b8e82cf-e643-6836-270c-88074aa9bf28\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/documentation\/CETP%20SRIA_v1.0_endorsed_compressed_0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"7\">CETPartnership SRIA<\/a>.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">The CETPartnership Joint Call 2023 is a 2 stage-call structured around 12 Call modules. Each Transition Initiative (TRI) developed 1 or 2 Call modules based on their strategic topics and content, allowing to cover the whole spectrum of their specific\u00a0<a id=\"OWAb95feb03-a595-9470-fb7d-b5604e94c944\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/documentation\/CETP%20SRIA_v1.0_endorsed_compressed_0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"8\">SRIA<\/a>\u00a0challenges.<\/span>\r\n<ul type=\"disc\">\r\n \t<li><a id=\"OWA2feda343-b248-8931-5507-e539cf33d09b\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/cm2023-01-direct-current-dc-technologies-power-networks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"9\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">CM2023-01: Direct current (DC) technologies for power networks<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">: This Call Module aims to support projects increasing the TRL moderately, i.e. showing a TRL increase of 1-2 from start to finish.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><a id=\"OWA8deff9b9-1719-a0c7-8ac5-753c7b877f55\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/cm2023-02-energy-system-flexibility-renewables-production-storage-and-system-integration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"10\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">CM2023-02: Energy system flexibility: renewables production, storage and system integration<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">:<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">This joint Call Module aims to address key aspects of the clean energy transition ranging from the integration of renewable energy sources into the power grids, considering storage as a possible solution to deal with their intermittent nature, to broad technological and market aspects as well as approaches towards system integration.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><a id=\"OWAc586a762-1eb9-93df-0524-3c1e83199207\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/cm2023-03-ab-advanced-renewable-energy-re-technologies-power-production\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"11\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">CM2023-03 (A\/B): Advanced renewable energy (RE) technologies for power production<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">: This Call Module aims to respond to the main RDI gaps and challenges underlined by the relevant SET Plan IWGs: IWG CSP-STE, IWG Ocean Energy; IWG PV and IWG Wind.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><a id=\"OWA99de77e4-42a8-76c7-b19e-89a01c47ad1b\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/cm2023-04-carbon-capture-utilisation-and-storage-ccus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"12\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">CM2023-04: Carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS)<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">: This Call Module aims\u00a0 to select projects that will support the emergence of CCU\/CCS primarily in the industrial sectors and the energy sector.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><a id=\"OWAbb34aed3-7004-6bb6-f720-6fe6b3de24fa\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/cm2023-05-hydrogen-and-renewable-fuels\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"13\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">CM2023-05: Hydrogen and renewable fuels<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">: This Call Module will focus on the development and demonstration of innovative and cost-, energyand carbon-\/resource-efficient technologies for hydrogen and renewable fuels along the whole value chain.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><a id=\"OWA3a6b5f06-8df3-74c3-7462-99b282fcd68f\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/cm2023-06-heating-and-cooling-technologies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"14\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">CM2023-06: Heating and cooling technologies<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">:<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">This Call Module targets innovation in all relevant areas for developing a secure, sustainable, competitive and affordable climate-neutral heating and cooling supply.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><a id=\"OWAf00a2378-a672-9853-9bdb-e7fe8f2eabc0\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/cm2023-07-geothermal-energy-technologies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"15\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">CM2023-07: Geothermal energy technologies<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">:<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">This Call Module targets innovation, research and development in how geothermal energy is supplied and integrated into Europe\u2019s future energy system.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><a id=\"OWA08be021f-d462-aedb-2719-27b40a75ddc4\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/cm2023-08-integrated-regional-energy-systems\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"16\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">CM2023-08: Integrated regional energy systems<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">:<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">The scope of this Call Module is the creation of resilient and secure energy transition regions, which efficiently provide, host, and utilise high shares of renewables<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">in the dynamic local or regional supply by 2030.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><a id=\"OWA52153d29-af7b-aab8-a470-a73f89f8a16d\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/cm2023-09-integrated-industrial-energy-systems\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"17\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">CM2023-09: Integrated industrial energy systems<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">:<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Call Module for Integrated Industrial Energy Systems (TRI6) aims at developing and demonstrating a set of technical solutions for integrated industrial energy systems that enables efficient carbon-neutral industrial production sites and takes industrial energy systems into development as part of the entire energy system<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><a id=\"OWA5f9b05c7-6373-20d4-bb9e-ba176f350d0b\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/cm2023-10-ab-clean-energy-integration-built-environment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"18\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">CM2023-10 (A\/B): Clean energy integration in the built environment<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\">:<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">The scope of these Call Modules -that cover both ROA (Research-Oriented Approach) and IOA (Innovation-Oriented Approach) projects- is to transform the built environment from a passive towards an active role in the future energy landscape.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">CETPartnership Joint Call 2023,\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">includes the following\u00a0<b>eligibility criteria<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>requirements<\/b>:<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul type=\"disc\">\r\n \t<li class=\"x_x_MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Transnational eligibility criteria, applicable for all project consortia applying to the Call.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li class=\"x_x_MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Call Module requirements, applicable for project consortia applying to Call Modules with specific requirements, see also Chapter 8 (<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">pages 24 -68 at\u00a0<a id=\"OWAbfcf5e2a-ff49-f14e-de15-1e7e6cc345e4\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" applicable for Project Consortium Partners applying for funding from Funding Organisations in the Call, see also\u00a0<a id=\"OWAe6e52804-b228-9749-b864-d8e573245bbe\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cetpartnership.eu\/sites\/default\/files\/documentation\/CETP%20Joint%20Call%202023%20-%20National%20requirements%20_2023-09-19.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"20\">Annex B<\/a><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\">In order to be eligible,\u00a0research consortia must include\u00a0at<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0least\u00a0<b>3<\/b>\u00a0independent legal entities from\u00a0<b>3<\/b>\u00a0different countries participating in the\u00a0CETPartnership Joint Call 2023, of which at least\u00a0<b>2<\/b>\u00a0must be EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries.<\/span>\r\n<ul type=\"disc\">\r\n \t<li class=\"x_x_MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The total effort of one Project Consortium Partner in the project consortium can be maximum 60% of the total project efforts (measured in person months).<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li class=\"x_x_MsoListParagraphCxSpLast\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The total effort of Project Consortium Partners from one country\/region in the project consortium can be maximum 75% of the total project efforts (measured in person months).<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Project consortia must also fulfil the Call module specific requirements.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">Applicants must be eligible for funding according to their Funding Partner\u2019s national\/regional requirements. The Funding Organisations allocate their budget to fund Beneficiary Partners based in their country\/region and decide their budget allocation among different Call Modules at different times in the Call process.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The Call generally aims to support projects applying for funding in the Call in the range of (but not limited to) <strong>\u20ac500 000 &#8211; \u20ac5 000 000.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The total Call budget is over <strong>\u20ac121 000 000<\/strong> and additional funding from EC (so called top-up).
