Building a common understanding on sustainability can act as a catalyst for action. GreenComp draws on the advice and consensus of numerous experts and stakeholders. The Commission encourages Member States to use it as a reference when rolling out educational initiatives on sustainability.\r\n\r\nGreenComp builds on the method developed, tested, and validated by the JRC to create the Digital Competence Framework for Citizens (DigComp), the Entrepreneurship Competence Framework (EntreComp), and the European Framework for Personal, Social and Learning to Learn Key Competence (LifeComp).\r\n\r\nGreenComp responds to the growing need <\/strong>for people to improve and develop the <\/strong>knowledge, skills and attitudes to live, work <\/strong>and act in a sustainable manner.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nGreenComp consists of 12 competences (in bold) organised into the four areas (in italics) below:\r\n\r\nEmbodying sustainability values, including the competences<\/strong>\r\n
