The amount of the subsidy will be calculated based on the purchase price including VAT. It is noted that the grant does not concern the purchase of services, and the purchase cost does not cover subscriptions for the purchase of protective equipment or the securing of protective equipment through leasing.\r\n\r\n<strong>Beneficiaries of the subsidy are all Cypriots, Europeans and citizens of third countries,<\/strong> who reside permanently in the areas under the effective control of the Republic of Cyprus and meet all the criteria below:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>They hold a motor vehicle driving license of at least one of the categories A or A1 or A2, and<\/li>\r\n \t<li>They are registered in the Register of the Department of Road Transport, and<\/li>\r\n \t<li>They are natural persons, holders of an active motorcycle license registered in their name.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nApplications will be accepted online only through the online platform\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.motosafety.gov.cy\/\">www.motosafety.gov.cy<\/a>, by entering your <strong>ID number, date of birth, vehicle registration number, mobile phone number and email address.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nApplications will be reviewed on the basis of the Scheme&#8217;s criteria and those that meet the requirements will be sorted into applications for approval. In the event that interest exceeds the predetermined number of applications, an electronic lottery will be held, and applicants will be notified of pre-approval electronically (via email) or by text message (sms) or by post.\r\n\r\nApplicants who receive pre-approval will be given a period of one month from the date of pre-approval to submit supporting documents for the purchase of equipment and payment account details for payment of the sponsorship.
