{"id":27203,"date":"2023-02-16T09:17:34","date_gmt":"2023-02-16T07:17:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fundingprogrammesportal.gov.cy\/2023\/02\/%cf%88%ce%b7%cf%86%ce%b9%ce%b1%ce%ba%ce%ae-%ce%b1%ce%bd%ce%b1%ce%b2%ce%ac%ce%b8%ce%bc%ce%b9%cf%83%ce%b7-%ce%b5%cf%80%ce%b9%cf%87%ce%b5%ce%b9%cf%81%ce%ae%cf%83%ce%b5%cf%89%ce%bd\/"},"modified":"2023-02-24T09:59:12","modified_gmt":"2023-02-24T07:59:12","slug":"the-grant-scheme-for-digital-upgrading-of-businesses-has-been-announced-2-announcements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fundingprogrammesportal.gov.cy\/en\/2023\/02\/the-grant-scheme-for-digital-upgrading-of-businesses-has-been-announced-2-announcements\/","title":{"rendered":"The Grant Scheme for Digital Upgrading of Businesses has been announced (2 announcements)"},"content":{"rendered":"The <em>Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry (MEIT)<\/em> announces a <em><strong>Call for Proposals under the Business Digital Upgrade Plan<\/strong><\/em>, which is included in the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RESP) of Cyprus for the period 2021-2026 and will be financed by the Recovery Mechanism and European Union (EU) Resilience Fund, the central tool of NextGenerationEU, the temporary instrument for financing the EU&#8217;s recovery and exit from the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.\r\n\r\nThe total amount that will be allocated for the needs of the Plan, which is implemented within the framework of Measure C3.3I4 of the SAA, during its implementation period amounts to <strong>\u20ac10 million.<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<strong class=\"bd_SubTitle_2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/meci.gov.cy\/assets\/modules\/wnp\/articles\/202302\/590\/docs\/odigospsifiaki_anavasmisi2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Guide of the Plan\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>\r\n\r\n<strong>The Plan aims to encourage investments in digital entrepreneurship and to strengthen the degree of integration of digital technology in businesses<\/strong> thus contributing to the strategic goals of the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan to strengthen and accelerate the digital transition of the Cypriot Economy.\r\n\r\nThe right to participate in the Plan<strong> is available to existing small and medium-sized enterprises<\/strong> that will implement expenses in the category of digital upgrading (including e-commerce), as well as <strong>new small- and medium-sized enterprises whose investment<\/strong> proposal necessarily includes e-commerce\/store and\/or the application of advanced digital technologies.\r\n\r\nBusinesses should be established or established in Cyprus, excluding areas where the Government of the Republic of Cyprus does not exercise effective control due to the Turkish invasion.\r\n\r\nThe intensity of the <strong>sponsorship amounts to 50%<\/strong> of the eligible budget of the proposal with a maximum <strong>sponsorship amount of \u20ac50,000<\/strong> and can cover costs for equipment required for the digital upgrade, &#8220;off the shelf&#8221; software, specialized software, systems, programs and IT services , as well as other digital upgrade costs not directly related to IT systems.\r\n\r\nIn the case of businesses that are established or will be established in mountainous and disadvantaged areas, the intensity of the <strong>sponsorship amounts to 60%<\/strong> of the eligible budget of the proposal with a maximum sponsorship amount of <strong>\u20ac60,000.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nIt is clarified that applications will be accepted for a <strong>total amount of up to \u20ac14 million<\/strong>, but in any case the approvals will not exceed the available budget.
