SUMMARY:ERC Proposal Writing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF)\, organises on Wednesday 12 July 2023\, 09:00 – 13:00\, a proposal writing workshop for the 2024 Calls of the European Research Council (ERC)\, in Cleopatra Hotel\, in Nicosia (room AFRODITI).\n\n \n\nThe workshop aims to offer to researchers preparing ERC proposals to be submitted under the 2024 ERC Calls (Starting Grant\, Consolidator Grant\, Advanced Grant\, Synergy Grant)\, practical advice\, through an interactive event. Topics covered include the submission and evaluation procedure\, the evaluation criteria\, the common reasons for rejections and issues of concern and tips and advice on the content of the proposals.\n\n \n\nInterested researchers must have basic knowledge regarding ERC Calls (specificities\, eligibility\, project characteristics etc)\, having watched the online info-day co-organised by RIF and ERC on the 11th of July 2023 or similar events or/and having studied official documents. SUMMARY:Cyprus ERC Info-Day “2024 ERC Calls”
DESCRIPTION:The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF)\, in collaboration with the European Research Council (ERC)\, co-organises an info-day on the upcoming Calls for Proposals in the frame of the 2024 ERC Work Programme (WP)\, on Tuesday 11 July 2023\, 11:00 – 13:30 (Cyprus time)\, online\, via ZOOM. Following this introductory event\, an interactive proposal writing workshop will take place on the 12th of July 2023\, with physical presence\, for a limited number of participants.\n\n \n\nThe event aims to inform potential applicants about the ERC grants\, with emphasis on the novelties of the 2024 ERC WP\, which is part of HORIZON EUROPE\, the EU’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation\, 2021-2027. Presentations will cover the different funding schemes of ERC and their specificities\, by Dr Gordana Popovic\, ERC Research Programme Agent of the ERC Executive Agency (ERCEA)\, while the ERC WP 2024 novelties will be presented by Dr José Labastida\, Head of Unit\, Support to the ERC Scientific Council\, ERCEA. Additionally\, Dr Davide Innocenti\, ERC Project Adviser\, ERCEA\, will present support measures offered to applicants by ERC\, while the ERC National Contact point will present services offered at national level. SUMMARY:Workshop for Potential Horizon Europe Cluster 5 Applicants
DESCRIPTION:The network of Horizon Europe National Contact Points (NCPs) for Cluster 5 ‘Climate\, Energy and Mobility’ – GREENET will organise in Cyprus\, a full-day\, on-site training\, for those taking their first steps towards a successful project application in the Horizon Europe Programme. The training will be a combination of theory with numerous practical exercises. DESCRIPTION:CINEA organizes virtual EU LIFE Info Days to guide potential applicants through the LIFE 2023 Calls for applications.\n\nThe LIFE programme is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action. Created in 1992\, it has co-financed thousands of projects. The LIFE programme 2021-2027 is managed by the European Climate\, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA)\, has a budget of €5.4 billion and is divided into four sub-programmes:\n\n 	Nature and biodiversity\n 	Circular economy and quality of life\n 	Climate change mitigation and adaptation\n 	Clean energy transition\n\nThe LIFE Call for proposals 2023 will be published on the Funding & tender opportunities portal as of Mid-April. The calls for Clean energy transition are expected to be published as of Mid-May.\n\nOn 25-26 April\, CINEA organizes virtual EU LIFE Info Days to guide potential applicants through the LIFE 2023 Calls for applications.
