DESCRIPTION:The European Researchers’ Night event\, which is the great celebration of research\, innovation and science and has been organized since 2006 in Cyprus by the Research and Innovation Foundation (IDEK)\, returns again this year under the title Mission: CONNECT. During the event\, scientists\, academics\, researchers/researchers and businesses will leave their workplaces for a while to present their actions and achievements to the public.\n\nThe event aims to promote the research and innovation culture as well as highlight the research activity that is developing in the country. Through the event of all ages\, they have the opportunity to interact with the research teams\, participate in experiments and interactive games\, live discussions\, awards and much more.\n\nIn this context\, IDEK announces an open invitation for the submission of Expressions of Interest from the bodies of the Research and Innovation (R&I) ecosystem to participate in the event with original activities\, which will be hosted in the Exhibition Space that will be prepared.\n\nThe Activities to be hosted at this year’s Event should fit into one or more of the aforementioned five (5) «Missions» R&I of the EU. The Activities should be interactive in nature\, using a variety of media (experiments\, video\, audio\, games \, simulations\, quizzes\, mobile applications\, use of scientific equipment\, painting\, crafts\, etc.) and giving the audience the opportunity to be actively involved. DESCRIPTION:The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) is holding a series of networking workshops\, aimed at promoting collaboration between the research and business communities\, encouraging them to jointly submit proposals under RIF’s new funding programme\, “Co-Develop”.\n\nThe workshops offer a unique opportunity for enterprises and research organisations to exchange views\, present their ideas\, as well as identify and explore new partnership opportunities.\n\nThe workshops will focus on the following sector:\n\n 	25 September 2023 (10:00-12:00): Health\n\nIt should be noted that the €7.3m Co-Develop programme aims to form collaborations\, make use of existing know-how and produce new technological solutions to address challenges in the three sectors above.\n\nDuring the workshops\, each participant will be able to briefly present their idea and/or their organisation\, while free networking to follow is expected to facilitate new connections and productive discussions among participants.\n\nInterested parties can register here by Monday\, 18 September 2023 at 13:00. DESCRIPTION:The Research & Innovation Foundation (RIF)\, in collaboration with the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TACR) is organizing a webinar for the European Partnerships Clean Energy Transition (CET) and Driving Urban Transitions (DUT)\, in which Cyprus is participating via RIF.\n\nThe webinar will contain a general presentation of the partnerships CET and DUT\, as well as separate breakout sessions for the national rules of participation of each country to the National Calls for Proposal of these partnerships. Moreover\, participants from both Cyprus and Czechia will have the opportunity to participate in a pitching session\, in order to identify potential partners for the transnational Calls of these two partnerships. SUMMARY:Workshop for Potential Horizon Europe Cluster 5 Applicants
DESCRIPTION:The network of Horizon Europe National Contact Points (NCPs) for Cluster 5 ‘Climate\, Energy and Mobility’ – GREENET will organise in Cyprus\, a full-day\, on-site training\, for those taking their first steps towards a successful project application in the Horizon Europe Programme. The training will be a combination of theory with numerous practical exercises. The topics to be covered include:\n\n 	Introduction to the Horizon Europe Rules of Participation\n 	Basic steps in participant portal\n 	Work programme and how to identify important points\n 	Partner search\n 	Proposal template\n 	Proposal evaluation criteria\n 	How to write the impact section?\n 	How to forsee risks during the project lifetime? How is risk management evaluated?\n\nThe Workshop will also include some motivating surprises and will conclude with a general revision of the material that the participants will work with during the day.\n\nTRAINERS:\nMs. Mari Habicht\, NCP of Estonia\nMs. Camille Dehestru\, NCP Brussels (Belgium)\nMs. Kolbrún Bjargmundsdóttir\, NCP of Iceland\n\nWORKING LANGUAGE: English\n\nTARGET AUDIENCE:\nThe Workshop is addressed to potential Cluster 5 applicants with no or limited experience in participating in Horizon Europe proposals\, from all types of organizations (universities\, researchorganizations\, local authorities\, enterprises\, including SMEs\, etc.).\n\nREGISTRATIONS:\nIf you are interested to participate in the Workshop\, please fill in the online registration form\, here\, until June 16\, 2023.\n\nIn case the interest for participation in the workshop is greater than the available seats (+/-30)\, the participants will be selected based on the relevance of their organisation’s activities with Cluster 5 activities.
